Chandler Balli plays Luke, a character who is dealing with the aftermath of a difficult personal crisis. Luke just got out of rehab and is looking for forgiveness and a new life to start. Luke’s life spirals out of control when he is pursued by a cult over the course of one night after his friend Mark introduces him to a charismatic pastor in their town.
In its nearly two-hour runtime, “Sect,” which was produced with only a budget of $2,000, encompasses more than just horror and mystery; It forces viewers to question both their own personal relationships with God and organized religion.
